Overview
For this year’s European Heritage Days on 19 and 20 September 2026, the oppidum and archaeological museum at Ensérune offer a journey through history, nature and photography.
On the programme:
- “ Discovering the Ensérune oppidum ” – guided tour – Saturday 19 September at 10.30 am.
- Old-fashioned portraits – Saturday 19 September from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
- “The Fabulous History of Montady Pond ” – Archaeological coffee-and-chat session – Saturday 19 September at 3.30 pm.
- Discovering the natural heritage of the Oppidum of Ensérune – Nature walks with the LPO – Sunday 20 September at 10.00 am, 11.15 am, 2.00 pm and 4.00 pm.
As part of these events, the monument will be open free of charge and visitors will be able to enjoy the site and explore the temporary exhibitions: ‘Like a Breeze from Athens’, ‘In Praise of the Landscape I’, and ‘The Pioneers’.
